IntelligentApps - Reporting and Analysis

IntelligentApps provides a complete set of reporting and analysis tools for Microsoft’s Analysis and Reporting Services, totally integrated within Excel. The Excel user simply selects the cube of data, clicks the mouse, and a default report based upon their area of interest is automatically presented. Modifying this initial view is simply a case of drag and drop combined with checking selection boxes. The final report can contain embedded Excel calculations with Excel formatting, all of which are preserved as you drill through the underlying data. Save the report to the IntelligentApps Web Server and that report is available immediately across the organization, interactively through a web browser. No knowledge of Microsoft’s Multi Dimensional eXpression (MDX) language is required, although if you wish to access and customize the MDX you can.

IntelligentApps Web Server Edition


Deploying BPM applications across the enterprise has been possible for some years, however true wide-scale deployments have not generally been realized due to the complexity and high cost of deployment. Lack of reuse of client code on the server has also caused limitations.

Fast development

Applications are designed in the IntelligentApps Excel Edition, the only difference is that, rather than saving the report to your local PC, it can be saved to one or more central server based application stores hosted by the Web Server Edition. Reports can therefore be developed and published in minutes.

Central application store

IntelligentApps uses inherent standard Microsoft directory and file sub systems to store and manage applications centrally. A company's investment and understanding of file storage and security policies is maximized as IntelligentApps uses these existing technologies, and avoids the need for complicated installation, training and maintenance of proprietary application stores.

Web interface

Reports are delivered interactively through the IntelligentApps Web Server Edition portal interface or embedded in customer web applications. The reports allow interactive analysis, with drill down/up and dimension slicing. All formatting and calculations are preserved from the Excel original workbook or worksheet.

Mobile devices

The IntelligentApps Web Server Edition can also deliver the reports in HTML to allow interactive use from mobile devices such as PDA's and Smart Phones.
